Do You Need a Pass for Cannabis Lounges in Germany?
The short answer
No. You do not need a Zazapass for lounges in Germany. Lounges are venues with their own house rules. Zazapass lists lounges and 420 events in Germany so you can find them, but there is nothing to buy to enter. Each venue decides under its own rules and applicable law whether and on what terms to admit a visitor.
What a lounge is
A cannabis lounge is a place to spend time and consume what you bring yourself, where the venue allows it. It is not a shop. You cannot buy cannabis in a lounge, and a lounge is not a cultivation association.
What the venue decides
- Whether it is open to walk-ins or asks for an appointment.
- The minimum age. Depending on the venue, you must be 18+ or 21+.
- House rules on consumption, food and drinks, photos and behaviour.
- Whether it admits a particular visitor at all. A venue may refuse a visitor.
What to bring
- A valid photo ID. Without it, most venues will not let you in.
- Respect for neighbours: keep noise down when you arrive and leave.
- Your own plan for getting home. Do not drive after consuming.

Lounge, cultivation association or medical cannabis?
