How to Get Weed in Seville: Law, Etiquette and Where to Stay

Cannabis in Seville: the short answer

In Spain, cannabis is not sold in shops, and Seville is no exception. What visitors find are private cannabis social clubs: associations for adult members with their own rules. This guide covers the rules for visitors, club etiquette, getting around and where to stay.

The rules for visitors in Seville

  • No shops: Cannabis cannot be bought legally in shops in Spain. Buying on the street is illegal, and the quality is unknown.
  • Public places: Consuming or carrying cannabis on streets, on beaches, in parks or on terraces can lead to fines.
  • Private clubs: Cannabis social clubs are private associations for adults. Each club sets its own membership and admission rules and may refuse a visitor.
  • Age and ID: You must be 18 or older, and clubs usually check your passport or ID card.
  • Travel: Never take cannabis to the airport, onto a plane or across a border.

How club access works in Seville

Clubs are private. They often ask visitors for an invitation or a referral from a member, a valid ID and an entry fee. The Zazapass Invite Pass covers only the entry fee at participating clubs, if the club accepts you. It does not make you a member and does not guarantee admission: each club decides. Zazapass lists participating clubs on the Seville page.

Getting to and around Seville

Seville Airport is connected to the centre by bus. Santa Justa is the main station, with high-speed trains to Madrid. Metro line 1 and the tram cover parts of the city, and much of the old town is walkable. Summers are very hot, so most people head out in the evening.

Seville in practice

The Santa Cruz quarter and the cathedral form the historic heart. Triana lies across the Guadalquivir river, and the Alameda de Hércules is a popular evening area.

Club etiquette: how not to be that tourist

  • Bring your passport or ID card. Clubs check age and identity.
  • Consume only inside the club. Never on the street, on the beach or on a terrace.
  • Do not take cannabis out of the club, and never take it onto a flight.
  • Keep it quiet around the entrance. Clubs depend on good relations with their neighbours.
  • Follow the house rules on phones, photos and behaviour. If you are unsure, ask the staff.
  • Do not buy from street sellers. It is illegal, and you cannot know what you get.

Where to stay: Cannabliss Retreat Marbella

For now, Zazapass presents one stay in Spain: Cannabliss Retreat Marbella, a 420-friendly stay with three rooms from €120 per night. You send a booking request through Zazapass, the host confirms availability personally, and the exact address is shared after confirmation. Marbella is on the Costa del Sol, also in Andalusia, so it works as a stop on a longer trip through the south.
