Cannabis social clubs in Marbella

Marbella and its neighbouring towns — San Pedro Alcántara, Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía and Fuengirola — form the fastest-growing cannabis social club coast in Spain. They are private associations, so you need a membership before the door opens; the Costa del Sol pass prepares that registration for you.

Cannabis in Marbella: the complete guide

The legal picture in Spain: associations, not shops

Spain has no recreational cannabis shops. What exists are cannabis social clubs — asociaciones cannábicas: private, non-profit associations whose registered members share cannabis cultivated collectively for their own consumption. Nothing is sold to the public and nothing is advertised on the street.

The distinction Spanish courts draw is between private and public conduct. Private consumption and cultivation for personal use are not criminal offences, while consumption or possession in public is an administrative offence under Ley Orgánica 4/2015 and can be fined. That is why every association is members-only, why doors stay closed, and why nothing you receive inside may leave the premises.

  • Members-only, non-profit associations — no walk-in sales
  • 18+ (some venues 21+), passport or national ID that matches your pass
  • Consumption inside the premises only
  • No photos of other members, no resale, no uninvited guests
  • Public consumption is fined administratively — keep it indoors

How to join a cannabis social club in Marbella

Traditionally a Marbella association asks for a referral from an existing member plus an in-person registration appointment — the exact thing a visitor cannot arrange from abroad. A Zazapass membership replaces that referral: we sponsor the registration, so it is prepared before you arrive.

  • Choose a single club pass, or the regional multi pass if you want several venues
  • Enter the holder name exactly as printed on the ID you will bring
  • Receive a digital pass with a QR code by email and in your Zazapass account (Apple Wallet supported)
  • Show the QR at reception — staff scan it, see name, pass type and validity, and finish the membership form
  • Bring your ID and respect the house rules for the full validity of the pass

Where the Marbella clubs are

The coast is linear, so the practical question is which stretch you are staying on. Everything below is within a 20-minute taxi of Marbella centre.

  • Marbella centro & Av. Ricardo Soriano — walkable from the old town and the paseo
  • Puerto Banús & Nueva Andalucía — the club scene closest to the marina nightlife
  • San Pedro Alcántara — quieter, more local associations a short ride west
  • Fuengirola & Los Boliches — a growing cluster east of Marbella, easy by train from Málaga airport
  • Estepona — a handful of associations at the western end of the coast

Costs, seasons and what a pass actually covers

A pass is a membership, not a cannabis purchase. It covers the association registration and the sponsorship that would otherwise need an insider referral. What you receive inside is handled by the association under its own contribution rules.

The Costa del Sol runs hot from May to October, and weekend evenings in Puerto Banús fill fast — arriving before 22:00 or checking the venue's hours on its Zazapass page saves a wasted trip.

House rules and etiquette in Marbella

Every association in the network relies on discretion to keep operating, and staff do enforce it.

  • Do not name the venue or post its exact address publicly
  • No filming or photographing other guests
  • Do not consume in the street, on public transport or in hotel doorways in Marbella
  • Never resell or pass on what you receive inside
  • Arrive calm and sober-ish; intoxicated arrivals are turned away

Zazapass provides membership access to private associations and lounges. Nothing on this page is legal advice, and no cannabis is sold on this website.
